TRAINING COUSE ON FOOD SAFETY AND VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS TO THE EU MARKET

The training course supported by the European Trade Policy and Investment Support Project (EU-MUTRAP)

The training course supported by the European Trade Policy and Investment Support Project (EU-MUTRAP) was organized by the cooperation between Vietnam Sanitary and Phytosanitary Notification Authority and Enquiry Point (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development - MARD) and Nha Trang University on November 7, 2014.
 
 
   
 
The course is designed for NTU staff, graduate students from Faculty of Food Technology. Trainers include food experts from EU, Vietnam Fisheries Society, MARD and Faculty of Food Technology. Trainees were provided information on topics food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary rules in international trade, EU requirements on import of foodstuffs into the EU; particular issues affecting Vietnamese products based on RASFF notifications, Good Manufacturing Practices in the food industry, EU labeling rules, University programs in the area of food safety in the EU and some others.
 
Participants also took part in Discussion session regarding international trade rules and EU legislation and practice affecting trade in agrifoods.
