On August 6, 2019, the Norwegian Deputy Ambassador had a meeting with leaders and lecturers on cooperation projects with Norwegian partners. At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on fields and directions for cooperation in the coming time. According to Mr. Jan Wilhelm, the Norwegian Agency for Development and Cooperation (Norad) is currently promoting support for cooperation between poor countries in Africa and some countries in Southeast Asia. Norad priority is developing a "blue economy" and ocean pollution prevention.
At the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Trang Si Trung - Rector affirmed that NTU is aiming to become a prestigious training center on seafood in Southeast Asia. The lecturers also exchanged ideas on related cooperation ideas such as setting up a research center on climate change and marine pollution, a center for excellence in training and research in fisheries, strengthening International announcement etc.
